If using on a regular basis, save to F12 favourites for quick access.
The Counselling tick box adds the code Vasectomy counselling (X71Ej) (SNOMED: 243065005) to the record.
You can also record consent given and print a Consent Form for the patient to sign.
Assistant is simply a text box for you to record a name.
The Vasectomy tick box adds the code Bilateral vasectomy for contraception (XE0Gu) (SNOMED: 17293009).
The Yellow Star indicates this is a code required for Local Enhanced Services payments if applicable in your area.
The Dressing Pack* link and any formulary link that has an asterisk (*) indicates this is a non-personally administered item and cannot be claimed for.
BN + Exp - add the batch number & expiry date for local anaesthetic used. Click the appropriate button to generate the script for the required anaesthetic.
You can tick to record if any sutures were used and again add batch number + expiry date, removal of stitches date and click the appropriate button to generate the script.
New Electronic Pathology Request (blue bottle icon) will give you access to ICE/T-quest.
The Notes free text box has a preset available to save typing. Click on the preset button (notepad icon), select the text and click ok. The text can be edited once added to the template.
Post-Op
The Vasectomy Post-Op Instructions is a Word document for you to print. Tick the box to record leaflet given.
Follow-Up
The Follow-Up template shows any pending appointments/visits, outstanding tasks, SystmOne recalls etc. There is a link to the Appointment Ledger, creating a task etc. if needing to arrange a follow-up appointment.
Post-op Review
Ticking the Semen analysis, post vasectomy box adds the code Semen analysis, post vasectomy (XSHtQ) (SNOMED: 11743002) to the record.
